Retaining a skilled felony criminal defense law firm is critical when facing rape charges

Sheriff’s Sgt. Mike Rodriguez was arrested recently on suspicion of his fourth rape charge along with two other felony counts including possession of firearms and ammunition while under a restraining order. Rodriguez was also charged with three misdemeanor counts on suspicion of violating a restraining order.

Rodriguez was arraigned on the three prior rape counts and released on his own recognizance, unlike his prior December arrest when he posted the $300,000 bail and was released from the San Benito County Jail. Rodriguez’s December arrest was due to an alleged three counts of forcible rape, two counts of unlawful sexual penetration and one each of spousal rape, domestic violence, and attempted rape.

Rodriguez’s defense attorney was outraged at the charges and stated “this case is nothing more than a witch hunt.” It’s extremely important for Rodriguez to obtain and keep an aggressive sex crime defense attorney to ensure that he isn’t falsely accused or unfairly prosecuted. When you are facing serious felony charges it is critical that you have a felony criminal defense attorney fighting for you.
