This, of course, has a cyclical effect. Some clients give this very reason for hiring a private lawyer instead of just going with the Public Defender’s office.

You want to make sure you are hiring your own personal lawyer, not the lawyer of 799 other people. You want your criminal defense lawyer to give personal attention to you and your case.
